POE 2 Delirium Guide By Poe2gold - 2025

There are four main endgame events you can encounter in the Path of Exile 2 Atlas map: Rituals, Breaches, Expeditions, and Delirium. PoE 2 revives several seasonal mechanics from original Path of Exile Leagues as endgame features – the Delirium encounter is modeled after the Delirium League.

This guide explains how to start Delirium events, what to expect from a Delirium event , how to access the Simulacrum Delirium Pinnacle map, how to interact with the Delirium Passive Skill Tree, and what rewards you can expect from completing this endgame encounter in PoE 2.

PoE 2 Delirium & Fog Mechanic, Explained

On the Atlas screen, map nodes with a guaranteed endgame event are marked with certain icons. Map nodes that contain a Delirium Mirror will have a white and black icon that resembles the Delirium Mirror itself.

Inside a Delirium map, you will come across the Delirium Mirror close to your spawn point. The Delirium Mirror looks like multicolored shattered glass, and when you get close to it, a ghostly energy will emanate from your character towards it. Walk into the mirror to begin the Delirium encounter, which will spawn a gigantic circle of Fog around you.

The circle of Fog will move throughout the map, and the further you progress through the map, the more difficult enemies become. If you leave the circle of Fog, though, the Delirium encounter will end and reset the map state back to normal.

Enemies you encounter within the Delirium Fog are empowered and have a chance to drop special Delirium rewards like Distilled Emotions, used in crafting, and Simulacrum Splinters, which can be used to summon the Pinnacle Boss. If you come across a Fractured Mirror while journeying through the map, move close to it to spawn a wave of mobs and get more loot.

There are two bosses that can spawn randomly during a Delirium encounter: Kosis and Omniphobia. These are not Rare enemies, they are full-on bosses with a boss HP bar, so keep an eye out if you aren't prepared to fight one. These are not Pinnacle bosses, though they can spawn during the Pinnacle event for Delirium.

Delirium Pinnacle Event: Simulacrum
Every endgame event in PoE 2 rewards items that can be used to summon a Pinnacle Boss. Delirium Fog can make enemies drop a Currency item called Simulacrum Splinter s at high Waystone tiers. After getting 300x Simulacrum Splinters, you can combine them to get a Simulacrum to place in the Realmgate.

After activating it, you will travel to the Simulacrum, a 15-wave-long encounter that gets increasingly more difficult as you progress. There is a high chance for the Delirium bosses to spawn during any of these waves, increasing as you progress further.

Completing the entire Simulacrum encounter will reward 2x Delirium Passive points.

Delirium Passive Skill Tree

Located in the Atlas Passive Skill tree, the Delirium Passive Skill Tree adds modifiers to the Delirium event to make it more rewarding or add more mechanics to extend the event. To see your Delirium passives, PoE 2 players should open up the Atlas Map, open the Atlas Passive Skill Tree with the top-left button, then look to the top right side of the Atlas tree.

The Delirium Passive Skill Tree has a distinctly white coloration and is shaped like the mirror on the Delirium event icon. There are eight Notable nodes and eight nodes that increase difficulty of Simulacrum events.

Because you are rewarded with 2x Delirium Passive Skill points whenever you beat a Simulacrum, you must increase the difficulty of this Pinnacle event every time you reach for a new Notable node.

PoE 2 Delirium Event Rewards

In a Delirium encounter, enemies you kill that have been affected by the Delirium Fog have a chance to drop Distilled Emotions. Bosses defeated during either the Delirium encounter or the Simulacrum event will usually drop Distilled Emotions, too.

These unique Currencies can be combined to Anoint your Amulet with innate Notable Passive Skills, meaning you don't have to waste Passive Skill Points pathing to a Notable node you want. Hover over a Notable Passive node to see which combination of Distilled Emotions are required to create that Anoint. Right-click any Distilled Emotion to open the Instilling window, and place your Amulet in the top slot before placing the correct combination of Distilled Emotions in the bottom slots to create the Notable Anoint you want.

You can also use Distilled Emotions to add guaranteed Modifiers to Waystones. This always adds a certain percentage of the Delirious debuff to players, increasing the number and power of mobs spawned in the Delirium Fog.

Enemies will sometimes drop Simulacrum Splinters which can be combined to form a Simulacrum. Slot this into the Realmgate in the Atlas Map to be taken to a special 15-wave-long Simulacrum event. Beating this event will reward both Delirium Passive points and a guaranteed Unique piece of equipment exclusive to the Delirium event.
