Ascendancy Respecs Are Coming

As Path of Exile 2 introduces new Ascendancy Classes, many players want to try out fresh builds without starting completely from scratch. Until now, changing your Ascendancy has required starting a brand-new character. That’s about to change.

How to Respec Ascendancy Classes

• Players will now be able to respec their Ascendancy Class by redoing an Ascendancy Trial.

• The Trial must grant the same number of Ascendancy points that your character currently has allocated.

• You’ll need to reset all Ascendancy points (down to zero) before selecting a new class.

• Once that’s done, head to Balbala or the Trialmaster (next to the Ascension device) to open the new Respec window.

Updated Level Requirements

• 7-chamber Ultimatums (up to 4 Ascendancy points) are now available starting at level 55, down from 60.

• 10-chamber Ultimatums (up to 6 Ascendancy points) can now be tackled from level 65, down from 75.

This update strikes a middle ground: giving players freedom to experiment without making it too easy to switch back and forth on a whim.
