Path of Exile 2 Early Access and Patch 3.26 Delayed

Path of Exile 2 is approaching its Early Access launch, but it seems both it and its original predecessor will be seeing delays in their content.  A few days ago, the Path of Exile 2 team announced that the Early Access would be delayed another three weeks; this is one more jump from the original early 2024 delay, albeit far smaller than a half-year leap.

In a brief video, Game Director Jonathan Rogers explained the delays, this time attributable to “a bunch of server-side infrastructure work that has taken us a lot longer than we expected,” including ensuring PoE1 accounts can cross over into PoE2, as well as ensuring server stability for the initial launch population.

In order to ensure a smooth launch, Path of Exile 2's Early Access will be delayed for 3 weeks. The new date is December 6th PST

Subsequently, a few days later, on Halloween, the team announced that patch 3.26 would be delayed to 2025, attributing the shift to a focus on PoE2.

“Despite the delay, launching Path of Exile 2 in Early Access this year is a very important milestone for us and we've been working very hard to make it happen,” the community team shared in a forum post. “After many days of internal discussions, we made the decision not to launch the 3.26 expansion for Path of Exile 1 this year. We’re looking to announce this new league in early 2025 (think late January) however we have to remain flexible with this window as releasing an entirely new project can come with challenges that we cannot predict.”

In lieu of the update, the Settlers of Kalguur League will have an event that lets players re-progress. By participating in this event you'll be able to play the Settlers league, in Standard, Hardcore, Solo Self-Found, and Solo Self-Found Hardcore, with a fresh economy and a ladder reset. By reaching level 50 in any version of the event you will earn one guaranteed Settlers Mystery box per account. The Settlers challenges are also available in the event, so if you were planning to complete them, you will be able to do so.

In addition, in the event, monsters in every area are affected by a pool of mods which you will be able to manipulate upon entering that area, just like in Necropolis league. Unlike Necropolis league though, these mods will only be rewarding, for example:

4% Chance To Drop An Additional Regal Orb
4% Chance To Drop An Additional Chaos Orb
40% Increased Pack Siez

The Path of Exile Settlers of Kalguur event league begins on Thursday, November 7, and will run until the next league begins in early 2025. Much like regular seasonal leagues, your characters and items will be transferred over to standard when this new event league comes to a close.
